How To Cross A Border is about the lines that separate countries, cultures and individuals, and the reasons why some people choose to cross them.
This documentary tells the story of two very different men - a well-healed American expatiate living in Mexico City and a Mexican horse groom who is intent on entering the U.S. to work, despite his lack of a visa. What begins as a chronicle of the expatriate sub-culture in Mexico City evolves into a fast-paced road movie as the American (who has decided to leave Mexico) attempts to locate the Mexican (who wants to continue working for the American) and convince him not to set out on the dangerous trak across the Sonora Desert. |
