Feature Narratives
As sweet and as vulgar as Zack and Miri Make a Porno, The Auteur is the story of the renowned porn director Arturo Domino, the creative genius behind adult films of the 70's and 80's. Hoping to revive his sagging career, Arturo has arrived in Portland, Oregon to receive a Lifetime Achievement award at a film festival. Unfortunately, Portland is also the home of his only true love, Fiona. Encountering crazed fans, former collaborators, bitter enemies, and free-loving hippies, we follow Arturo as he frantically attempts to raise money for the film that could put him back on top: Gang Bangs of New York.
Feature Documentaries
How To Cross A Border is about the lines that separate countries, cultures and individuals, and the reasons why some people choose to cross them. This documentary tells the story of two very different men - a well-healed American expatiate living in Mexico City and a Mexican horse groom who is intent on entering the U.S. to work, despite his lack of a visa. What begins as a chronicle of the expatriate sub-culture in Mexico City evolves into a fast-paced road movie as the American (who has decided to leave Mexico) attempts to locate the Mexican (who wants to continue working for the American) and convince him not to set out on the dangerous trak across the Sonora Desert.
